Google Talk?

Google Talk? What is this? Is Google getting in online telephony phenomenon? Yes they are! The research giant now provides a beta version download of Google Talk at free.

Google Talk allows users to IM or make calls over the Internet using a microphone, speakers and PC, again; free. The new Google pc software may be saved by a person with Windows 2000 system or later.

Those who do not already have a Gmail account could request an invitation via mobile-phone. People that don't have a cell-phone should have someone with an account send a Gmail request.

Google has managed to get pretty easy to include people to the contacts list of the messenger. Invitations are sent directly from the messenger or from the user's Gmail account. The user control's again are very cut and dry, it is a little plain looking, however; this for me add's to it's usability. Other than an absence of ad's, the one thing new about this could be the fact it's from Google.
